About Us

B.H. Milliken is an electrical contracting company servicing commercial and industrial clients throughout Maine. We offer a wide range of services from maintenance to renovations and new construction. We also offer fully designed stamped drawings for Design Build projects. B.H. Milliken has been committed to providing the latest technology, quality products, and superior customer service since 1986. This strategy is what sets us apart from our competitors.

Our Philosophy

To provide quality installation and repair of electrical systems at a fair price without compromising our high level of customer satisfaction.

To provide an environment in which our employees are encouraged and rewarded for developing their talents and achieving their goals.

How We Work For You

We specialize in Design Build and Design Assist services, which promotes efficient solutions and a viable alternative to traditional Plan and Specifications contracts. We get involved during the early stages of design for complex projects, which translates into greater efficiencies in construction. This approach can help facilitate aggressive and accelerated construction schedules, which may not have been feasible without it. We work closely with our customers to maximize cost savings opportunities and eliminate over designing. We pride ourselves in giving our customers what they want while adhering to their budget and timeline.

B.H. Milliken is committed to providing a safe working environment for all our employees. We have implemented a comprehensive safety program consisting of site visits, weekly job site safety meetings and training in first aid and CPR for all our employees. Our obligation to complete projects injury-free continues to be a top priority.

The probability of our electricians coming into contact with live energy is a common occurrence. Because of this, all our electricians have participated in an NFPA 70-E-2004 (National Fire Protection Association) safety training seminar. They have also been issued the proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) so they will be prepared for any danger due to arcs, flashes or flying objects resulting from an electrical explosion.

B.H. Milliken considers education to be an investment in our employees. We offer a certified apprenticeship program. Within the last ten years, we have educated and continue to educate our employees to further develop their knowledge base. We have an employee who is certified to teach the Contren® Learning Series training classes, which is a nationally recognized training program. This gives our apprentices the classroom time required by the state to apply for their Journeyman or Masters licenses. In addition to formal apprenticeship classes, we our employees current with the latest NEC code updates, which are facilitated at our office by our certified instructor.
